Donald Joseph Qualls, better called DJ Qualls is an American actor producer and fashion model. After achieving fame through his roles on Road Trip and The New Guy Hustle & Flow the actor was featured in over 20 feature films including The Core. He also has appeared on more than 22 series, such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. As a survivor of Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed with at the age of 14 Qualls is an avid fighter. His cancer was in remission after 2 years. But, earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health as well as stunted development. Once he started acting financially secure, it was his ultimate goal as he had seen poverty throughout his childhood. He said in an interview that he said that if I don't achieve the financial security or feel out of control in the world, then I'm going to be unhappy. He also looks back at his own childhood and wants to do something about the problem of the bullying. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. DJ's ideal job is play a father figure in reel and in reality. He admits that Directors do not cast DJ in such role. It's a dream to someday be a parent himself, when the time comes when he can devote more time with his career and spend more time with his children.
